There is a reason why 30% of all data transferred across the internet is estimated to be porn-related. (HuffPost) because “Sex Sells”

Now that I have Your attention, apart from the statistics above and the clickbaity title, there is absolutely nothing sexually stimulating about this post. But, there is the stimulation of the mind or as the “Woke” like to call it “Thought-Provoking”

Apologies for disappointing you with this revelation, but the truth is since the pandemic has started us INDIAN’S are swallowing more than we are spitting. Yes!! for instance, there is a decline in the pan stained walls, and people spitting randomly for fun because it’s looked down upon. So the question is “It took a pandemic for us Indian’s” to realize that spitting in Public is reprimand-able.

India bans Public spitting in April 2020

I know you must be wondering with the GDP contracting to 23.9 % in April — June quarter, the unemployment on the rise & the country going through a very difficult time. In the midst of this why am I talking about the Pandemic? because there is a silver lining to this Pandemic, We have finally started to understand deeply the meaning of “HYGIENE”

Don’t get me wrong here, it’s not that we were unaware of it, but we always took it for granted. It’s a fact that we tend to be a little, self-absorbed or narcissistic when it comes to handling our waste be it Physical or Verbal.

We are living in crazy times.

Spitting in public had become a norm, Even pictures of the Almighty couldn’t stop people as there were pan stain or dirt right beside the pictures. Pan, Gutka, cigarettes, or just normal spitting. I have met more people spitting as a habit than because of consuming any of the above without realizing that spitting causes T.B (Tuberculosis)

I believe it is very much ingrained in us, since the time we have been watching cricket matches on the Television, we have seen bowlers rub spit on the ball for the shine, we would try to emulate that on our plastic balls or tennis balls, and now mostly in our bedroom.

It’s also got to do with the way we are raised. As a kid, we tend to imitate what we see around us, the bad has a lingering effect than the good and that leads to a domino effect of sort, and subconsciously we start doing it even if we don’t want to. These are the same people, when they go abroad are following orders because of the fear of the fine.

The good news is that the new generation will have better civic sensibilities (we can just hope) and also a better understanding of the working of the universe and the planet. Nowadays kids teach their parents how to behave and how to live because of the better education system now.

I believe it is very important that we start, Following the Japanese way of educating the kids, from the 1st grade to the 4th grade instead of conducting exams and grading them, we should teach them how to live so that the future of this country knows how to live rationally and becomes a better human being than, a senseless imitating machine who is not rational enough to “Spit or Swallow”
